Bull Riding

Bull riding is probably the most famous of rodeo sports. It's when a cowboy gets on the back of a bull and attempts to stay on for 8 seconds, as the bull attempts to buck him off.

Each bull has a unique name and number to be identified by and is judged to be in performance ready shape before selected to be ridden. The rider and the bull are randomly matched before the event.
Throughout the ride the rider must only use his riding hand, while the other hand is to remain free until the 8 seconds is over.

The bull rears, kicks, spins, jumps, and bucks to try to throw the rider. A loud buzzer sounds when the 8 seconds has been completed and the rider can untie and jump off of the bull.

Throughout the ride, bull fighters move around the bull trying to influence the bulls movements. When the ride ends, the bull fighters move in to protect the rider from getting hurt.
